Overview: Campus Climate & Programs

Campus Climate:

The Center seeks to create an environment where members of the campus community can gather for discussions, study groups, and activities. The Center encourages cooperation between various student groups who are similarly committed to social justice issues. Our campus programs cover such topics as women's health, diversity, international women's issues, feminism and social change, body image, women's art, and women's history to name a few. Some of our prominent programs are our Feminist Film Series, our  Lunch Series on Gender, our Open Mic Nights, our residential hall programs on the transition from high school to college, reading groups on women's issues, and our print, video, and journal library at the Center. For a closer look at our annual Take Back the Night pre-rally and our campus chapter of the Clothesline Project, see the below menu items.

Elizabeth Garcia, Ph.D. from Hunter College in New York City delivers a talk on Latina Feminism: A Vision for the 21st Century in the fall of 2004.
